Les,

Ya know, I am glad you are out there.
Sometimes I think I am the only one
who has trouble with the fact that the
President lies frequently about all
kinds of matters. This is disturbing
to me. At this point, whenever Bubba
opens his mouth, I just kind of ignore
what he is saying because you just don't
know how valid the statement is going
to be. Its just like his "State of the
Union" speech. I keep pointing out that
most of what he said will never become
policy. There is no 4.3 trillion dollar
budget surplus. It is his imagination.
The budget is not even balanced now...
Alan Greenspan just said the other day
that only if the economy keeps growing
at this rate, then by the year 2001 we
will begin to have a surplus. Bill Clinton
is selling the American people snake oil.
Its the "Big Lie" theory. Tell the people
a lie often enough, and they will begin to
believe it.
