George, KJ, Douglas, (Craig?), Techno et al:

Can you corroborate asic's post from Yahoo! regarding the "technical" reasons?

<<<<<<< From what I gather from sardines post on SI is Brocade was not mentioned in the EMC press release is because of political factors. Exactly what is meant by "political" I can not say but what is being rumored is Brocade has burned some bridges with a few OEM's and potential customers thus opening the door for Ancor. A second reason is technical, what most everyone on both boards miss is Ancor is the only Fibre Channel fabric switch out there. Brocade/EMC and Gadzooks are only switches. A fabric switch will allow a user to build very large switch fabrics with low latency, with a plain switch the user is limited to the number of switch's they can cascade together. Fabric switches will give the fabric fault tolerance while the cascaded
switch has a single point of failure. All the drive manufacturer's are moving to public loop. Ancor is the only one that has public loop everyone else has priver loop. Ancor's MKII is very price competitive also. >>>>>>

Pat, as far as I know the last Kinnard report is the one dated Jan 15, where they raised their price target to ten dollars and reiterated there buy opinion. The report was written before the 2nd Infrange and the JNI announcements. If you want a copy let me know.
