Also speaking of wireless, MRVC won best new Wireless product at ComNet '99 DC last week with a multi-gigabit optical link "to distribute ATM, SONET and Gigabit Ethernet to a record distance in free space.".

They don't give out many facts, but their press release on the award says they need no licenses from the FCC.

I don't know much about wireless. Does anybody here have any ideas how they will do it? I read the article above on CLECs looking at wireless. What are the prospects and potential makets here?

wireless wonk, they have to lease the LMDS spectrum from those who obtained it in the auction. Then they will have one heckuva system.
LMDS is going to do great in the soho,small to medium business market.
One good reason is it does not use the same lines as the telephone system(once it is 2-way).
