I work in pharmaceutical sales, and have recently heard about
the potential for these two companies. I am presently considering
investing a small amount in one of these companies. Do you have
any thoughts on what there differences are, and which appears to
be better positioned for 2003(completion of the human genome project).

I'm not a lawyer, but as I understand intellectual property rights, if you don't take steps to protect them, you lose them. I know it's this way for trademarks. Are patents different?
