Complete Mr. Science experimental kit: the simweb.com mystery unraveled!

Here's something else interesting about the "simweb" connection.

The home page for zulugroup.com actually does refer to the "images" directory. But the the files that they use are NOT listed in the simweb.com directory!

Here are some of the files used in the zulugroup.com home page:

dot.gif
zululogo_main3.jpg
zulucontrol.jpg

There are others.

Now, go to www.zulumedia.com/images/ or www.simweb.com/images. Do you see any of those files listed?

No, they aren't.

Now, let's try this experiment. Let's try accessing the images individually, not the directory.

First, try this one:

zulumedia.com

So far, so good, right?

Now, let's see if it's also on the simweb site:

simweb.com

Oops, where did it go?!

So, my final technical conslusion is this. The zulumedia.com web server is set-up to redirect the url "www.zulumedia.com/images" to "simweb.com/images". I assume that this is a leftover artifact from the transition from SIM.

But their web server is NOT set-up to redirect the CONTENTS of the directory to simweb.com. That is, "www.zulumedia.com/images/xyz.gif" does NOT get redirected. That's why you actually get the images from the zulugroup.com web site.

This has the side-effect of keeping your snooping eyes out of the images directory at the zulumedia.com site. :) Of course, this would be easier to accomplish (if this is why they did it - I doubt that, though) by simply disallowing access to the base url of the images directory, or else globally disallowing directory listing.

You see, PartyTime, how easy it is to be fooled when you have incomplete information? And how important it is to verify your information ? How would you feel if somebody made an investment based on your speculation-presented-as-fact, if, say, they thought the ISP business was a good one, and they believed that ZULU was now going into the ISP business? Would you feel bad? (Or would you just say that they should check their facts before they invest? :) )

This will, I am certain, be verified by the simweb.com webmaster tomorrow.

You need any mysteries solved, just ask. Any time.

>>>I've written the webmaster of simweb.com for clarification, and to point-out that another site may be inadvertently pointing a part of their web site to their site.<<<

I note you're always willing to particpate when you think you can find a negative. Or you'll particpate if you think you can sabotage a process, like the question and answer process we all sought earlier. Do you think we would have gotten viable answers on the public thread if you didn't exist? Instead a few got private answers. Thanks, JT! Quite the nice guy you are!!!

But given I asked you the Zulugroup.com/images-simweb.com question not knowing the answer myself. I'll wait for clarity. It won't come from you, however. Why? 'Cause you're a web gladiator who simply happens to be functioning in a arena of thumbs-down only! Actually, the crowd you perform for is either only yourself or for an entity which has hired you to become the anti-champion. Either that, or you've innocently deluded yourself into thinking you're some kind of protector. I'm sorry, messenger. Point of fact? You are a mere harbinger of slur.

How many other tv/internet-type stocks have you condemned, and why?
