KMT, Thanks for your answers..

<<1) Financing was done through a PP to some major shareholders.>>

Amy details ...avail.? Why it has not been made public..At least I don't see it. Are they allowed to do this in the US ?

<<Advances to subsidiaries are funds advanced to Sierra La Plata, a subsidiary of MDIN which operates in Chili. I believe most of the expenses in Chili for exploration/development of the properties are incurred by Sierra La Plata.>>

If Sierra La Plata is a subsidiary and the money has been spent on exploration, shouldn't MDIN show this asset as a mineral property asset than can only be depleted against future earnings...rather than an advance which is more a cash equivalent that will be reimbursed.

<<I disagree with your premise. I don't think a market cap of $4MM was even close to fair market value in December. Nor do I think we're at fair market value now based on current assets>>

No cash..and very small resources... that is what I read base on what has been published. Maybe there are some new fundamentals that have not yet been published and now justify this market caps...or maybe I missed something .. I don't know. But having good and prospective properties on which a drill program is starting doesn't justify the kind of market cap re-adjustment we are seeing now... unless.. fundamentals have changed very recently in a big way...or the promo guys are doing a great job.

<<Here are a couple of additional links for help on your DD.>>

Thanks... already went through the website...will check the other two.

<<Call IR and get your hands on the
Tenney report if you can.>>

What is the Tenney report ?

Very nice DD here KMT If I may quote you on the Catan vein from your URL site...

"09)______ Catan vein (2.8 km x 2.5M wide x 1000 m @ approx. 15.5
gm/ton). A 70-meter access tunnel was completed in mid December.
Intersecting the vein 1,000 feet below its surface showing, truly an
immense vein. This represents extremely near term cash flow as stock
piling continues. Shipments to the refinery should commence by February,
1999. Channel samples by the company are averaging in the neighborhood
of ½ oz. per ton (15.5 gm/ton), ACA Howe's team corroborated these n
averages in late Jan.1999. ACA Howe1s report will be out within a week
or so (+/- 2/5/99). Distinct possibility of 8.2+ million ounces of gold"

8.2 is a substantial chunk of gold. Many small drillers would kill themselves in attempting to prove that much ore. Yet, according to your other info, we may find yet more given the number of claims MDIN is somehow getting its hands on. Things are starting to get interesting and you are right about the company owing the shorts on this stock nada. let 'em stew. --Alan
