I have a problem I haven't been able to resolve.

I replaced my A drive and ribbon after "drive not ready" errors.

still no luck. drive kicks in....but nothing. same error.

I'm not a newby....this has me stumpted.

Its a DPI 440bx atx mainboard.
running win98....

suggestions appreciated.

Sounds to me like you've installed the max blaster software,
like it or not.

How can you tell after reboot? Enter the bios again?
or is it an OS telling you? If an OS, you've probably been
software mapped, possibly from the MBR or partition boot
sector of the boot drive (like a boot virus).
