Edwarda: RE: "jiggers" and m I so very old that I know what the term means and how to pour one? Reminds me of the recent column by (black) writer William Raspberry, who joked about a friend of his who used to describe those little bugs that get into your skin as "chee-groes". Making fun of ridiculous politically correct expressions transcends race, thank God. While I'm complaining, has anyone noted the emergence of the word "impotency"? To me the noun should be "impotence" and the adjective is "impotent". I don't see an need for another noun describing the condition of being impotent. For example, a violent person exhibits the condition known as violence, not "violency". Any comments? Jack
