I have a question on off-label use that maybe some of the MDs on the thread can answer. If a doctor prescribes a drug for an off label use, are they still covered by their malpractice insurance? Does the ocurrence of lawsuits increase for off label prescribers? I think its a risk for a doctor to prescribe drugs for off label uses and I think the possibility of law suits could limit a doctor's willingness to prescribe off label. Just my opinion but maybe some of the MDs can respond to this.
