Oh, I authored everything except the congressman's observations on the debt and rubin's response...so you should take my observations as free and therefore worth what you paid for them. I don't know if WE are in trouble or not. your kids may be in trouble, though! ..The ponzi scheme is an interesting one...it increases tax revenue, deflates salaries and devalues the dollar in a way that makes most people happy "look, the stock market is going up". I kinda think that the big problem is that bankruptcies are so high, people are so overextended..the rubin scheme is OK for the average american who regularly sticks money into the 401K, owns a home and doesn't get overextended on credit. But even the rubin system must call for an occasional minor recession to roll off the excesses.
