is a ASUS P2-B motherboard an ok choice to use with a P11-400, 128 Ram, multiple monitor set up under Wind 98?

I am seriously considering an ASUS board for my own use. It is not as easy to overclock but you can if you are so inclined..it does not have small voltage increments like the ABIT boards. One would run a Celeron 300a at 2.0 or 2.2 volts (to the best of my knowledge..I am not an overclocking pro)

Anyway, back to the subject. The ASUS P2B-F would probably ne a better choice for a multimonitor system. It is the latest version of the P2B and has 5 PCI slots in lieu of the 4 PCI slots on the P2B.

ASUS has a good reputation for quality. It is still using the "old fasion' jumper approach for most of its settings. This can make the board difficult to configure(physically/logistically difficult to configure)

The only place I have seen it available so far is Lindsey

I'm running this exact configuration with 3 ATI Expert '98 cards (1 AGP + 2 PCI). Took me three months and three motherboards to figure out that not all motherboards support the multi-monitor set-up!

Works great but it would be good if you could get your set-up tested before you buy. This would save you the trouble of configuring yourself.
