Bob, are you saying that you think that if you use an alias, a hacker can't find out who you are behind the alias? If you are feeling a touch of paranoia, don't be niggardly with it.

Seriously, I can understand your sense of concern. On the other hand, this concern for privacy seems to be coming a bit late. Anyone on SI can read any of your public posts, you know. You never know if any of the cute aliases is someone you know.

This has happened to me twice. I have an alias and was recognized anyway. Then I learned that another person I knew very well was on SI and that we'd sparred without my knowing who it was.

If you don't care if we know who you are, care to drop us all a line letting us know of your new incarnation?

Bob,

I got 886 matches for you. You may be a little late!

Bob, be prepared to get some heat when you use an alias. Some paranoid people will think your trying to hide things if you don't use your real name.

I use my alias for the privacy aspect.

Max (aka Cheeky aka Sire)

P.S.
An alias is a GOOD idea.
