"Cows, A Packrat & Binoculars..... a twisted tale" - The Alberta Securities Commission Weekly Summary for Jan. 15/99 details a private placement of $0.60 share purchase warrants for INTEGRA RESOURCES LTD. Purely a personal hunch however it might be worthwhile to blow the dust off the binoculars and keep some body parts (eyes, ears?) peeled. The situation isn't yet listed however some folks appear to be positioning.
The 99/01/15 Summary lists 61 placees for a total of $5,589,652.20 - not too shabby given the current sentiment regarding financings within the oilpatch. The listed date for the purchase warrant placement is January 6, 1999.
What is even more "interesting" (imo) are some of the pockets where the denarii appear to be coming from......... For instance, R. Chaney & NAL funds account for just under $2.8mil and Sherwood International Capital Ltd. took $900K. Some individual names which sounded familiar and forced a wake-up call include Hank B. Swartout (pres./ceo of Precision Drilling) $50K; J.C. Anderson (Anderson Exploration?) $60K; Thomas Alford (Bonus Resources?) $50,400 and Robert Geddes (onetime Ensign Drilling mgr?) at $30K.
The ASC Summary just lists names, I've added possible company affiliations so those details need to be verified.........
What about cows? BLACK DIAMOND CATTLE COMPANY (1988) LTD. This company is listed as taking $252K of the placement. Packrat reference? - me. An old 1995 Information Circular for Chancellor Energy Resources Inc. (disappeared into Pinnacle which disappeared into Renaissance Energy) indicates the BLACK DIAMOND CATTLE COMPANY (1988) LTD. is owned by Robert G. Peters, Chairman and CEO of Peters&Co. Limited.
Other Peters&Co. ilk also appear involved. Wilfred A. Gobert took $25,200 of the placement and Sandra E. Fiell (possibly related to Bruce A. Fiell at Peters&Co.?) is listed for $105,000.00
Add the names up........... the noted 10 names and companies appear to account for approximately 76% of the overall $5.5+mil private placement.
Purely based on initial funding jumpstart (and apparent funding sources) Integra Resources Ltd. might be a name to watch for.
(disclaimer: personally do not hold any share purchase warrants. Also, totally unaware of what Integra's current plans are are who the mgmt. group consists of.
To date searches thru Carlson's site have shown zippo for company details and as of Dec. 31 the company hadn't yet rec'd. conditioanl approval for listing on the ASE. Suspect the name will appear in the next while............
