m afraid the parachute is not going to work out. As "everyone"
knows, one minute after midnight due soley to computer chips
not knowing that it is 2000 and not 1900 the laws of
aerodynamics will no longer apply. This being a well known fact,
as determined by poles taken of "what the american people
want", you will have insufficient time to deploy your chute due to
the incipient stall/spin that is inevitable when all lift is lost.

Oops, almost forgot the fallout shelters in case a silo goes zing or
your neighborhood nuclear power plant melts down. Maybe there are a few left over from the cuban missle crisis.
