From Jan 29, 1999 Client Server News.
The story talks about an April planned price
reduction by Intel. Is this the one that was moved
up to Feb 28 and the Feb 8?

Socket 370 Celerons, where most of the AMD
vs Intel action is expected to center, will see a
466MHz part at $169 intro'd in April. The
high-end 433MHz part will drop from
$161 to $141, the 400MHz silicon goes from
$131 to $111 as the 366MHz part breaks the
$100 barrier, falling from $101 to $91.

I guess we have to wait to see what Intel says tommorrow?

Jim,

Re: "BTW, whatever happened to that "sage" on Yahoo who called McMannis,
Yousef and Engel "stupid clueless morons" right before the stock dropped 33%?"

Now hold it, Jim ... You're not trying to say that you "predicted" the
"flush" of AMD, are you ?? As I remember, you tried to get me to cover
at about ~$23 . Sorry Jim, you didn't have the "balls" to make the right
call.

Make It So,
Yousef

Re: Are they still solvent?

Is any who's long AMD solvent? Thank god I have plenty of working years left to make back my retirement.

As for the other part of your post. The Sunday papers here in Joisy (exit 97 to be exact) had nothing but 380 & 400 in desk tops and a bunch of laptop units. Hopefully the product mix is moving up. Maybe we can end up with an ASP $85-$90.
