The largest issue is the item is not a commodity. One has to see it to compare. A picture, no matter how good, will not do.

Very true, and I didn't mention that because evidently there's a bunch of people that have no problem buying stuff sight-unseen. I have to believe that Michelle realized this issue when she suggested you sell jewelry off the internet.

This whole e-commerce thing has wildly optimistic expectations built-in...after all, catalog/mail-order has been around for decades, and we still have (surprise, surprise!) retail stores. But with some ppl like the Ms. Meekers of the world, they are only hyping for short-term personal gain, and they know that nobody is going to hold them accountable for any statement they made in the past that doesn't prove to be true. It's the fleecing of America.
