Bill,
My favourite gold stock, Black Hawk Mining, unwound its gold hedges in 1997.

<<WHAT IF THE SHORTS HAD TO COVER NOT JUST 300 TONS BUT 3,000 TONS? >>
The turn has started. I'll bet the HM story gets some press today. that will make some money move into the XAU and (at the edges) a few more "analysts" will upgrade HM and a few others, maybe. a few more dollars will step into gold mutual funds as advisors tell people to "have a few dollars in gold". As many mutual funds carry (at least) a little bullion, this may become a self driver.

The "just a few dollars in gold" is all it may take to break the backs of these boyz!

If it breaks $315 strongly - it could run to $362 - easy.

Nothing wins like a winner.
