The state of investing in ATHM in my mind is simple.

If you plan to hold this stock for the next 5 to 10 years, there is absolutely nothing to worry. A market crash is only noise.
As long as the earth spins and people live, there is a need for faster
and better web access. And cable access, BTW the only viable and economical access model, will be bound to grow exponentially.

Yes, @Media is somewhat ineffective. They did the right thing to buy
XCIT at this price. Time is everything. If they lose XCIT, it will go to AOL. And they may not be able to buy it back with twice the money.
Here in Bay area, local radio stations are announcing that 5 new communities have been added for TCI@Home availability. All indications point to ATHM working in full force to deploy its service.

And more good news are coming:
1) Final approval of T/TCI merger.
2) Merger of Road Runner to @Home or World net to @Home.
3) Alliance with Microsoft.
