ICOS used to do it with Gates picking up the balance of the offering that remained unsubscribed. It was back in the early '90's when you could pick up ICOS for $4.

I'll post the response from ISIP IR when I get back to my work e-mail. I was very unsatisfied, and the private, controlled placement was in the same style as the conference call. Problem is I have participated in conference calls with several companies with smaller capatilizations as an individual investor. Scott
