<< Brokers and other securities professionals have their own set of rules, that's what the SEC is interested in. >>

Not all they are interested in. The SEC also investigates and monitors individual investors. Their computers are set up to monitor individual trading patterns and their investigators now monitor posters on the internet. Actual prosecution, if negotiation is inappropriate, is turned over to other agencies as appropriate.

All this was covered by the WSJ.

Rod,

I added 1,000 shares at $5.5 to my position today. I have various reasons for doing it, including averaging down my cost which is quite higher.

I really don't like the management that much, but I do have a lot of faith in the company's tools from Delphi, JBuilder and the rest of it. Given the very limited competition, except for Microsoft VB suite, I believe that this alone represents more value than the current $200 million market cap. Doesn't anyone needing to compete with MSFT (Oracle, IBM) need Borland technology to fill out their own offerings?

The stock is near it's low. Isn't this when it should be bought? If you don't mind my asking are you long or short and what % of your net worth does it represent. I don't mean to be personal, but as you have some very "strong" opinions, I would like to see if your money is where your mouth is. I will admit that your historical bearish stance has been accurate and I do congratulate you, because the bottom line is that when the stock price was much higher your messages indicate a stock price to go much lower, I wish I had taken your advice. Please comment briefly and thank-you very much.
