I know. We hate MSFT's operating system. We will not buy another PC unless we can install Linux or Unix.

My USRX Robotics Pilot hung up on me the other day. First time, it has ever happened. I've used it for 1 1/2 years.

My husband said, compare reliability of USRX operating system to MSFT's Windows 95. I said, "there no comparison." Windows 95 stalls on a regular basis.

I believe the only reason the Pilot hung up on me is because my husband has been tinkering with its operating system. He's been writing code. And unfortunately, he has installed additional software on my Pilot, like a Document Reader and a "C" Library. (I don't read those documents and I can't write code).

However, he installed some good things: T.S. Eliot's, "The WasteLand" and Shakespeare's Plays. Plus, I have a clock, Doodle and Bug Me applications.

So, I believe U are right when you say Linux will become a threat. Unix may threaten the Wintel monopoly as well.

Eventually, newer technology will replace the old. It is inevitable.
