I think that the 1,001,000 number is binary. -g- That number in decimal is 72, which sounds much more plausible.

Yes, you are right in that the number of 8 and 16 port switches sold is equal. A coincidence? Note that the 16 port switch reported collisions while the 8 port switch did not.

Someone should call the magazine and check to see if they have any corrections. And maybe call Ancor to alert them of any other problems.
