I have no idea why you would identify JIT as something distinct from build to order -- any true JIT system is build to order -- that is what JIT means. To make JIT work you must have orderly inbound and outbound logistics, this is true. But what good does that do without build to order? Nothing.

Sheesh I would like to just walk away from you but you are so far offbase its hard to do that. Logistics has everything to do with any company succeeding in a low margin business, and almost nothing to do with BTO. We are talking about 30% of the cost of many items locked up in logistics - I can point you to 10 studies on this matter.
