Hi Lee. I'm just darting in and out here, but re also showed the short interest chart displaying a huge drop in short interest.

Look at that link again. The date on the shorts was 1-29. A lot has happened since then, me thinks.

Hi Lee, 1st of all... as a caveat, I don't do much forking on the TYX. Also, on the daily chart some of the forks are drawn with a 50% offset which should be taken into account. Based on the chart you mention... I wouldn't be surprised to see a drop in rates short term... BWDIK. You are correct in noting the high value of the Stochastic RSI (13,8,5), and the middle fork tines. This is getting more and more confusing by the minute. when is it not??? <GGG> As for the market... I covered my last remaining SPH short on globex earlier this evening to go flat. I am looking for a short term bottom -if not this past Friday- in the next day or two.... then a bounce. The ? for me is whether the next rally should be heavily shorted ot not. Of course, I should just play it day to day... as this market can and will do ANYTHING. I personally have not found a way to make much use of the short interest data, and consequently I don't follow it that much. It wouldn't surprise me if the SI data were delayed. The flag -as you call it- should break eventually.... whatever that means. <GGG> Of more importance to me right now is that price hold its October low. Nonetheless, I think beans should make an IMPORTANT bottom in 99... although to be blunt, I thought 10/98 was that bottom... c'est la vie. Talk to you later Regards, Frank
