Scumbria, re: Let's see... I can buy a $100 Celeron that is almost as good as an $800 PIII, only it
doesn't have that nasty CPU ID feature on it.

Tough choice.

You're beginning to catch on, remember "Market Segmentation"?

Celerons for home.
PIII's for business.
Xeon's for servers.

Home users may not want nor need CPU ID features, and almost as good is usually good enough.

Businesses have been begging for CPU ID features to help with inventory, etc.

Xeon's, well they just kick butt. IT doesn't usually have to worry about servers leaving the closed, locked, camera outfitted server rooms.

You can have any color you want as long as it's black. Try to envision a larger market Scumbria, as opposed to AMD's one size fits all.

Slick - Re: " You seem to be in a really bad mood. "

I am in an excellent mood !

I staved off disaster with AMD last week, unloaded my shares at a 35 to 45% profit and immediately shorted it.

Which I repeated (the short) the next day as well.

Closed both shorts on Friday.

That quick action netted me some excellent profits - which, as always, has put me in a great mood.

Now I'm all excited to see AMD pop back up on flights of fancy only to drift back to the $12 to $14 range.

BANK ON IT !

Paul
