I don't know whether he could sue. It was the other stuff, about how an acquittal certified that someone was innocent, that I objected to. And I explained myself in the previous post, so I don't understand your confusion. Again--- a jury in the civil case found OJ guilty of wrongful death, even though he had been acquitted of murder, because the standard in a civil case is "preponderance of the evidence", not reasonable doubt, because certain things were admitted at trial that had been excluded previously, but mostly because they did not engage in jury nullification, as is widely believed of the first jury. We who are not even impaneled and under discipline are even freer to hold various opinions. But even more, a finding against removal in the Senate has no material bearing on the question of the Presidents legal liability, which still stands. Even Democrats have suggested that he be charged after leaving office. Now, is that sufficient, or should I repeat it one more time....
