Me too. But its important to remember the feeling upon finishing
any race.
I think we could make a useful point here in regard to investing, which is that one must be able to picture oneself
winning to be able to even begin a task.
One way is to think long term( Buffet and Lynch ), whether or not it happens and which can help one hold thru temporary downturns. And permit one to buy on dips instead of selling.
Another way is to gain some personal experience with options ( by buying a few cheap ones) then work on analyzing mistakes made until you can finally picture how to do it successfully.
One thing I have tried to do here on the thread is to
point out from personal experience some of the things that we
know can be accomplished with this perfectly marvelous stock called
Dell.
But the whole "picture of success" can be overdone as well
demonstrated by Hanks initial adventure into the tech stocks. Having been very successful for years on the blue chips ( all but one of his 23 stocks paid dividends), he was convinced he could identify a loser
came over here and shorted the techs. With well documented results.
My first adventure in the spring of 1997 with Cpq was very successfull, but still did not match Dell. So I did not have much trouble dumping it when it fell apart on the second split. Steve( hpeace) was not so lucky and hung in there too long.Donnie bit the bullet and dumped that pig long ago.
But enough now. Its only 36 minutes to Post Time when the gates open on the Nasdaq..
