Without missing a beat, Breifing.com reports quarterly earnings for Creative Computers (MALL) after yesterday prognosticating that Creative Labs (CREAF) might report lower today....

Do they realize they're talking about two different companies here? Is there anybody IN THERE:

<<TORRANCE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 1999--Creative
Computers, Inc. ("Creative") (Nasdaq:MALL) announced record quarterly
sales from ongoing operations of $190 million and fourth quarter EPS
of $.15 excluding its investment in uBid. Including the Company's
continuing investment in uBid and uBid's expected non-cash stock-based
compensation charge, the Company lost $.55 per share for the quarter.

On December 4, 1998, the Company sold 19.9% of the ownership in
uBid through an IPO, raising $25 million for uBid's advertising, brand
and infrastructure development. The Company intends to distribute to
shareholders, subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions, its
ownership in uBid by means of a tax-free stock dividend in 1999, but
in no event prior to June 9, 1999.>>
