SignalSoft To Conduct Live Demonstration of New
Location-Based Information Services During CTIA's
Wireless '99 Conference
PRNewswire

Joint Effort Extends InfoNow's Enterprise-Wide
Inquiry Management Services to

Wireless Network

DENVER, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- [ InfoNow Corporation ] (OTC
Bulletin Board: INOW) today announced that it will team up with several
wireless telecommunications companies to conduct a live demonstration of
new location-based information services during the upcoming CTIA's
Wireless '99 Conference in New Orleans.

The demonstration is a joint effort, utilizing technology from five companies:
the New Orleans CDMA network of PrimeCo Personal Communications,
Lucent Technologies' Mobile Switching Center, GTE TSI's intelligent
network service bureau, SignalSoft's location-based software, and
InfoNow's web-based, automated inquiry management services. The CTIA
demonstration will show how location-based services can deliver
personalized lifestyle, business and entertainment information to wireless
subscribers. Using PrimeCo wireless phones, the information will be
delivered based on a caller's location and specific request. During the
conference, CTIA attendees using the PrimeCo network will be able to
experience the service by dialing *FIND to easily access localized
information about the nearest restaurants, clubs, attractions and ATMs in the
New Orleans area.

The five companies will host a press event during CTIA on Tuesday,
February 9th at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans. The
schedule includes management presentations, a live demonstration and a
question-and-answer session. In addition, there will be ongoing
demonstrations of this exciting new location-based information service at
Lucent Technologies' booth (#3247) and at the GTE booth (#4815).

The InfoNow services deployed in this trial are part of an overall suite of
web-based, automated inquiry management services designed to support
sales and customer service inquiries across a client's enterprise, including call
centers, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Systems, intranets, and the
Internet. As discussed in a separate Company release made today, these
services have also been deployed on the recently announced Palm VII(TM)
wireless handheld organizer, as part of a joint effort with 3Com and Visa
International.

"We are excited about this trial and the eventual broad-based deployment of
these services," said Michael Johnson, InfoNow's CEO. "It not only extends
our ability to serve current clients to this new and fast growing wireless
domain but also leverages our existing skills, infrastructure, and information
assets to serve a large, new class of potential clients: the wireless carriers in
the U.S. and Europe."
