High volume on calls can also mean increasing number of people short. Remember call options are a great protection for shorts.

Don't you wish trading was easier, with clear indicators, like increased volume on calls = the street bullish? Well I do, but it ain't so...

Not necessarily...could be large holders arbitraging (doing a conversion) to sell calls at high premium to smaller-scale gamblers buying calls on the basis of SI discussion ;-)
