long side: no...gary said last year was about breakeven for long trades. i think he changed the max high from 52 weeks to something less. unfortunately, october 98 through january was an anomaly...30% market rise in 4 months? 100% in a year? no, its got to rest. many stocks through january trading at 30% above 50dma....what gets 'em there? profit expectations... what takes 'em down? disappointment (see COMS, AMD) shorting is the best game in town for the forseeable future david
