Alexis, I know I don't represent the average dude. How many folks do you know who have two Number Nine Digital Flat Panel Packs on their PC. To me the importance of ibm compatability as a concept is linux compatability as a reality. I cannot create a dual headed display system with an SGI visual workstation. If I have three displays on my system, then I guess I can claim to have a 3x visual workstation. Borg viruses NT and win 98 supposedly have the ability to do multidisplay. How does the 100% compatable NT 4.0 SGI box do this.

If I'm going to have a visual workstation at 3500, I'll have a number Nine Digital Flat Panel Pak and 1200 dollars of whatever computer stuff. I believe that My visual workstation will perform as well as the SGI. Well only as well for 99.9% of the applications. Their is no doubt a 2400 dollar application that will run 10% better on the SGI.

But despair not. SGI make at least 500 profit for any Number Nine Digital Flat Panel Pak sold. Does SGI make 500 profit on each visual workstation sold?

I still recommend to all to cash in all SGI stock and buy Nine stock. I don't expect major revenue reporting on nine on the 18th. But more deals will most likely be anounced, each of which will bump the price 5 to 10%. The May 18 earnings will then be substantial.
