error-error-error- i NEVER said it was a strong buy - go reread my post - i said: do you think the upside potential from the current price is equal to or greater than the downside potential over X amount of time...... EXACTLY like the Oil services sector stocks - trading at near-104-week LOWS, how much lower can THEY go versus how high is their potential /versus today's price ??

Correction! Correction!
Fred never said that AMD is a strong buy, my apologies. I worded my statement incorrectly, I was wrong.

In my opinion, AMD is a strong buy, in the high-risk sort of angle, because the stock is trading at such an over-sold price right now. If AMD can shake its production problems and then its debt problems, it is going to continue to give Intel a very good fight. If AMD investors are willing to take that risk, there is basically only upside from here on out; granted, if that is the case, it might go slightly lower before it rides up.
I think that was the point where I took-off with my own opinion from Fred's analytical insight about AMD.
