A 10% drop doesn't equate with testing the October lows.

The S&P500 was at roughly 970 Oct 8 and the local high is 1280. So its climbed 33% since then, and to test those lows would require a 25% drop.

I think they don't believe that DELL and MSFT, or the other 12 major stocks of the capitalization-weighted SPX index will drop to the Oct lows, but that many stocks will and the big dogs will maybe drop 8-10% - making the index only look like a 10% drop.
