Interesting read.... now here's a snippet from a different point of view: econ161.berkeley.edu (It's long, and not really a closely argued refutation of the Austrian point of view (more a statement of an opposing POV); there are some interesting bits on some of the Austrians during the Great Depression.) This Rice guy strikes me as a bit on the nutty side, frankly.... ranting against fiat money and all. (Who could possibly be against a currency backed by trouble-prone Italian sports coupes?...) I wouldn't discount Krugman... or Keynes.
