Herndon, Va.

VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 1999--Sideware Systems Inc. (VcSE:SYD)
is pleased to announce the opening of the U.S. head office for its wholly owned subsidiary Sideware
Corp.

The office is located adjacent to the Washington/Dulles International Airport in Herndon, Va.

Herndon is located approximately 20 miles west of Washington, D.C., and is home to technology
giants such as Oracle, Sprint, PSI, Network Solutions, EDS and SAIC.

President Jim Speros states that: "Sideware Corp. is extremely fortunate to be located in this prime
business corridor, surrounded by 32 of the 62 firms identified as the major players in the Internet and
telecommunications industries." He also points out that "the U.S. operation is focused on customers,
and to this end we have made a major investment in our Live Interactive Product Demonstration
Room. With over 15,000 Internet companies in the area, we have a large audience to show our
products to. Our Demonstration Room will be a valuable sales tool in presenting those products to the
