OT - of bugs and lost pulses.

John, I'm using Netscape Communicator 4.5 on a Pentium machine with 80MB of RAM and a 56k modem. I upgraded from 4.03 primarily because E*Trade said The Pulse would not work properly with that version. One interesting feature of 4.5 is that, when the Navigator component crashes, Communicator brings up an automated problem reporting system that transmits data to Netscape about the particulars of the failure. They've probably rcvd, on avg, a report a day from me since I upgraded and the crashes almost always occur when I'm running The Pulse.

Are others experiencing similar problems with The Pulse?

Bob

Power Etrade Level II not accurate.

My browser is I.E. 4.0.
Additionally, I spoke to an Etrade broker soon after I failed to get a confirmation on my market order.
He went and looked at the tape (time of sales report) and JBOH was trading at 20 - 20
1/8 two minutes after I placed the order. There is no way it should take over 10 minutes to
fill a market order when it had not reached 23 7/8 in two minutes after I had placed the
order. The Level II feed was displaying 19 1/8 and it should have been filled close to 19
1/8 not 23 7/8 fifteen minutes later.

Any ways I have contacted the Pennsylvania Securities agency, my lawyer, local news
agencies, my congressman and the NASD to investigate the matter.

I was also informed by a Bridge supervisor that if their servers are slow feeding data you
will get delayed quotes. Funny how they don't tell us about such problems and short
comings when they promote their Power Etrade service.

BEWARE OF REAL-TIME QUOTES.
