Hi Ashley!
Putting all your eggs in one basket is tough to do. I venture off, just a little once in awhile, but always discover i'd be better off with it all back in the Dell basket. Sometimes when nothing is happening with Dells stock, I see other stocks that everybody is buying, and I get tempted and try it. But, by then its too late, and Dells moving again or the other stock is dropping.

I'm sticking with the winner, not just because of the past, but because of the bright future. I wouldn't have been able to be so confident of that if it wasn't for all you folks on this VERY FINE THREAD!! ( sniff..sniff) Now see what you did, got me going <g>

AEOB ( all eggs in one basket) again!

GL!! D.

Ashley,
I did just that over a year ago.. Very pleased with the results.
I held Dell for 3 years prior and charted the other stocks I held versus DELL for the time period. Nothing even came close.
DELL made the GE stock look like it was standing still. It made the MSFT and INTC stock look just OK.
I now only hold stock in my 401K and DELL shares.

If you do switch.. Don't measure for 6 months to a year. After a split or two, you begin to laugh. After 3 years, you look like a genius.
Without Kemble, Venkie, and the rest, it would be impossible to have this kind of guts.

Don't know where I saw the quote but I like it:

"To make money in stocks you have to have the vision to see them, the courage to buy them and the patience to hold them."

Follow your heart in all things,
Craig
