Greg S. Re: Message 138 -- Regarding some of the issues you brought up, I think your question regarding Amazon.com and the other retailers Activeworlds.com originally claimed to have onboard has been answered. At this point I am not aware of any shops or shop keepers at @mart that are paying anything to have a shop there. I'd be curious to know what the plans are for creating revenue from this site. Certainly depending on associate income (The Amazon.com associates program offers 5 - 15% per book sold. The catch being that payment is only made for someone following "Special Links." Thus, if someone is referred to the Amazon.com site by the Activeworlds.com but does not purchase a book, and later re-enters the site from the web, no payment is made), as a revenue source is not enough.

You can see the specific terms of the Amazon.com associates agreement here:

You also stated that "It would be nice to be able to change the view, to bookmark places to teleport, etc. Maybe all this is possible with the commercial version, I don't know." I have been doing some playing around with the software and I can tell you the things you want to do are available with the standard "freeware" version, the commercial version is not necessary. Drop me a message if you are interested in the procedure and I will send you some instructions.
