Vertica Software (currently VERT) and VerticalNet (soon to be VERT) are two different companies. VerticalNet is not yet public, so you can't buy stock in it today. Buying stock in Vertica Software (which is public) would give you *no* interest in VerticalNet.

franksonik, only a person who asks questions learns... and it's admirable to ask questions risking ridicule... in any case, Vertical Net is not yet public, so I really don't know what you mean by buying shares today and to be converted to NASDAQ after IPO... if the symbol VERT is already used, then it has nothing to do with vertical net I think... and the new symbol for vertical net might be different...

best regards
