Most FC switch, hub, adapter, software makers were making presentations at the Morgan Keegan's institutional clients technical conference. Brocade is supposed to announce a new switch, is supposed to IPO 1Q 1999. My gut feel tells me that they are behind on both counts. They need to manufacture some press for these perspective clients to read. They didn't make it to the main FC/SAN allience. It is not the end of the world for them. They just can't claim to have dominance in the FC switch arena. I wouldn't count them out. But so far they are pathetic. I read arrogance from their press releases which is exactly why some of the potential OEMs may be now in Ancor's camp.
