Remember, identifying why markets bottom, intraday, intramonth and intrayear is the key to serious outperformance. On Friday we had a textbook bottom, cross markets and all. That's a good sign for the bulls and a bad one for the bears.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 1998--At its Annual Meeting of Stockholders held today, the management of MOVIE STAR, INC. (ASE:MSI - news) stated that it expects sales for the second quarter ending December 31, 1998 to be at least 10% ahead of last year's second quarter sales of $22,737,000. This will be the first time in several years that Movie Star has achieved in excess of 10% sales growth as compared to the prior year for two consecutive quarters. Management further stated that it expects net income for the second quarter ending December 31, 1998 to be ahead of net income for last year's second quarter of $1,660,000.

Commenting, Mel Knigin, President & Chief Operating Officer stated, ''We have been able to achieve this sales growth due to the excellent retail reception of our fashion forward fall line. Additionally, we are experiencing continued strength in our year-round replenishment business.''
