My husband is 40, and I am 46. The thing I hate the most about making love is the way my stomach jiggles. I hope he doesn't notice. I don't ask. LOL!

I just finished a romantic movie, "In and Out," the one about Kevin Kline being outed by a former student. A little broadly played by all, but funny, nonetheless. I also watched "The Ice Storm", earlier this evening, also with Kevin Kline, and Sigourney Weaver, different channels so I don't think they were meant to be juxtaposed.

Love is funny. I think women have an advantage for a long time, starting with puberty, and then men have the advantage for a while, starting at about middle age. They are such piggies for such a long time, and are so easy to manipulate, but then they lose interest in us old broads and then we have nothing they want; and then, if they don't die on us, I think in old age we finally are equals. But I am not sure.

The one thing I wish I had accepted earlier, and it seems so dumb now, but I really could not accept it, is that men prefer beautiful women. Duh. I know, it is so obvious, I just refused to accept it, I told myself I would be loved for my brains and my energy and my soul. Wrong.
