Handset topic: The size of a satcom handset, I've been told, is limited in its ability to be shrunk by the requirement to have an antenna large enough to communicate with the satellites. Does anyone have information that would shed light on this physical limit, and what form future handsets might take?

*Cost control* "What...they can't afford a mere $3000? I hope the bankers didn't hear that comment!" I love hearing that Jack and I think bankers would too. It signifies a tightwad which is what I like to hear. The story goes that Bernie Schwartz never met a cost which he liked. Some would argue that's why we got in trouble with Zenit - but I disagree. The bent pipe, the Zenit, the low cost approach is the way to stay competitive.

Zenit to me was a good risk [given the launch history] and I'd be blasting some more up now on another Zenit.

Rah! Rah! Rah! Globalstar...
