Zoltan, this is George Wills commentary on that same author you posted about a week ago. If you recall, I never said her theories were completely irrelevant, only that they are irrelevant to me. When I was 21 yrs old I knew literally no young men that could have supported me, much less myself and a child, and furthermore they had no interest in doing so. I would say for an author like this, and for George Will as well, that they should target their audience with this kind of info because when you make philosophical arguments such as this that dont apply to someones physical existence, you very quickly alienate those people. The republicans have a real problem with this right now. Another person who did this out here was Arianna Huffington, who loudly proclaimed that child rearing is not a corporate responsibility, mothers should stay home, etc - oh but whoops! - her staff failed to enlighten her on the economic realities of the arena she was lecturing in.
