Ian;

I had hoped to make the live call this time, but I have a 5:20pm flight that day. I don't believe that 300mm will be required make it move up, just would add lot's of fuel via much more share gain.

Regards,
John

Recalling from the last cc, Brad said that strip was mostly for capacity buys, and there was little customer interest in capacity buys in the September quarter. Only 40% of orders were for strip and 0% were for lite etch. The best news were 5 orders of RTP systems, all to Japan.

Analysts are saying that the semi-equip industry still isn't seeing much capacity buys. Applied and the others are getting mostly technology buys to upgrade existing fab lines to smaller line widths. If that's the case, I suppose that Mattson might report more RTP orders in the December quarter, but strip would still be weak.

That's my prediction, anyway --

Anybody else care to speculate?
