I find Mind Boggling those who believe that one can't help oneself by helping others.
That is how I explain Bill's success as a politician: he joins his goals with the voters. They rise, he rises, but them first. [I suspect an extraordinary politician will also be able to quick-connect his goals from the group if the group is falling. But that is a different topic.]
Still the truth of the matter is that Bill did what he had to do to protect the innocents from harm. The law would not, quite the contrary. There is the crime of the matter-in the actions of the law and officials of the law.
