I just spent about 45 minutes reading through another thread of a stock I wanted to check out. (SATH) The entire thread consists of only the following: 1. Name Calling - "You're a liar", "you're full of sh**", 2. Longs praying for a buyout, 3. Longs hoping for a partnership with a firm such AOL or MSFT (even though such a partnership may merely be featuring a link to the SATH website on the portal), 4. Other random noise. In other words, I wasted 45 minutes trying to learn about what was driving a stock and the entire thread is like the famous bar scene in the original Star Wars movie. I thought by putting the numbers out on Perot, people could at least add some rationality to their approach and avoid a scene like the SATH thread.
