Vitas: The oscillator, unlike the prior situations, never reached the 60 area, which might indicate a thrust situation, and in fact has also ticked below the zero line. What is a thrust situation? Regards, LG

>>we have this time stalled at the zero line and have ticked back down below zero.<< I had to pull out my straight edge to make sure but if you ignore that spike up on the NASDAQ issue summation chart around September, we also just stalled at an imaginary trendline of the last three tops. Again you have to ignore that spike up on the first top before the October correction but it is almost exact. Hmmm, maybe we should watch that chart close on the next rally. Lower tops mean ..... 1957 summation chart has been posted at Monty's site. The horizontal line at the bottom is the summation level that we bottomed at in October 1998. Ostensibly, it was a 4 year cycle bottom, after the previous cycle bottom in 1953. The summation failed on the market's recovery high, at around -200, and then a sharp drop below the previous bottom ensued. The pattern now looks strikingly similar. In addition, we are at a similar point in the 23 year cycle - 15 years after the 1942 launch of that superbull, and 17 years after the 1982 launch of this superbull. Vitas.
