tenchusatusu, from now on your ten.. it will save me big time. AMD prices were'nt weak last qtr. they did'nt make enough chips but stop right there. Fact chip output was up 73% over last year. AMD pumped out 5.5 million chip during the last qtr. That's 21 mill with no increase in ramp in an underramped fab. So waht are we suppposed to assume AMD won't improve production this year. Oh ya don't look now but the k2's are priced at parity with Intel. So at parity pricing your saying amd won't sell any chips. I can't beleive you beleive what you typed. Also all the trade mags show the performance of AMd chips to be on par with Intel pentiumii. If you want to get real nit picky some applications run faster than Intel pentiumii in fact most of them do except for some of the high end egghead math problems., like necular war simulations. but when you balance your check book I defy you to show me its slower.
